OverviewEdit

Since North Korea rarely shares information concerning it's military forces, information surrounding the Type 73 is scarce. It has been seen in several North Korean propaganda videos, and an (extremely battered) Type 73 was showcased at a Special Forces display in North Korea. It appears to be a heavily-modified Soviet PK machine gun, converted into a magazine-fed weapon. The Type 73 is top-fed, much like the Bren, and although the weapon is not belt-fed, a feed tray can clearly be seen. The Type 73 remains in service with the Korean People's Army, although the more modern Type 82 (a PKM clone) has since entered service.
