The Type 70 is a Chinese rocket launcher.
The rocket launcher was first designed in the 1970s, possibly inspired by the M72 LAW being used during the later stages of the Vietnam War, and was possibly supposed to replace the Type 69 rocket launcher. It first saw use in 1974, and was later developed into the FHJ-84 incendiary rocket launcher.
The rocket launcher consists of a launch tube and a launch container housing the rocket.
The rocket launcher fires a 62mm warhead which has a purported penetrative power of 100 millimeters (3.94 inches) of steel plating angled at 65 degrees.
