  • Can anyone imagine if americans build their own Home defence CIWS with electrical equipment and metal bought from Home Depot or something, would it be able to shoot down a low flying aircradt? (Don't even think about an A-10, that thing takes a SAM and still flies.)

    • or a Pico-gun firing 2.7mm Kolibri, You could mount 4 of them on a mount and produce 24,000 RPM, but they rounds are damned weak.

      No. 9mm bullets are too weak to shoot down aircraft, in addition to most likely not having the range to try to kill aircraft... and building one of those using stuff from Home Depot may be illegal.

      Yea true but we don't need a 9mm minigun for shooting aircraft, just get a bofors cannon (L70) on your roof (if its flat)
