Stanislav Ivanovich Koksharov, also known as Sergey Koksharov, is a Russian firearms designer.
Very little is known about Koksharov's personal history.
Koksharov is well known for designing the AEK-971, a potential weapon which could replace the AK-74 in Russian service, as part of the Abakan trials. The AEK-971 ultimately did not win, but sees service in some parts of the Russian military.
- Koksharov may have assumed the pseudonym of Sergey Koksharov when designing the AEK-971, but this is unconfirmed. Sergey Koksharov is the name he goes by in most websites where he is mentioned, with the exception of the Kovrov Mechanical Plant website.
