The Sjögren military rifle (pronounced hwo-grayn) is a prototype Swedish self-loading military rifle.
History
The rifle was submitted to British trials in 1908. While it did garner some interest, it failed to garner enough interest to see service or adoption. The rifle is now on display.
Design Details
The rifle uses the same system the Sjögren shotgun uses; an inertia-based recoil-operated system.
Ammunition
The rifle uses an unidentified 7.63mm cartridge, which is speculated to have the dimensions of 7.63×57mm from a slideshow.
