The Shield Blackhawk was a competition revolver designed by UK-based firearms manufacture Shield Gunmakers Ltd.
Overview
The concept behind this revolver is essentially the same as that of the Shield New Service revolver. In this case, the revolver is a Ruger Blackhawk modified into a competition revolver, with upgraded iron sights consisting of an elevated square notch Beeman rear sight and a Parker Hale tunneled front sight. It was designed for the International Long Range Pistol Shooters' Association (ILRSPA) "All Comers" competition.
