Semi-automatic firearm

From Gunpedia

An example of a semi-automatic pistol.

A semi-automatic firearm is a type of gun that requires one pull of the trigger to fire one round of ammunition. For example, if somone fired three rounds of ammunition, they would have to pull the trigger three times. Unlike a automatic firearm which fires ammunition as long as the trigger is being pulled down, this gun fires one round of ammunition per every time the trigger is pulled. Most police organizations carry some type of semi-automatic firearm. Most of these guns by law are legal for citizens to own.
