The Schouboe Model 1906 (pronounced sko-bo) is a prototype Danish pistol.
This pistol was designed by Jens Schouboe of Madsen light machine gun fame. Schouboe submitted this pistol to the 1907 US Pistol & Revolver Trials. As the pistol used a proprietary cartridge with a 63 grain wooden bullet instead of the provided ammunition, the Schouboe was rejected outright.
The Schouboe was a simple blowback pistol with a non-exposed hammer chambered for .45 caliber bullets. It is quite simple to disassemble.
The pistol used a proprietary .45 caliber cartridge, known as the 11.35mm Schouboe, an aluminum-jacketed cartridge with a 63 grain wooden bullet.
