The Savage Model 1892, 1895 and 1899 were hammerless lever-action rifles created by the Savage Arms Company in Utica, New York. Though initially scoffed at due to its hammerless configuration and "ugly" appearance, became one of the most widely produced and popular hunting rifles of all time, with dozens of models and caliber options. It was produced for 100 years, from 1899 to 1999.
