The Saritch 308 is a prototype Russian battle rifle.
History
The Saritch was designed in the 2000s by the Tula Arsenal. It has yet to see service and has not been widely publicized.
Design details
The rifle is a possible derivative of the TKB-022PM designed by German Korobov, but with a forward ejection tube.
Trivia
- The Saritch 308 is featured in Call of Duty: Black Ops II as the "SMR"; while the SMR is a futuristic weapon based on it, it is referred to as the saritch in the game files, showing a linkage.
- The rifle is also featured in the upcoming Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six: Siege update as the "Spear .308". It is used by the Russian operator Finka.
