The Revelli rifle was an Italian prototype self-loading rifle designed by Abiel Revelli and produced by Officine di Villar Perosa.

The Revelli rifle was developed in 1912, and tested by the British Automatic Rifle Committee shortly afterward. The Committee rejected the rifle after initial trials and there was no further interest in the design.

The Revelli action.
The Revelli was a recoil-operated rifle that utilized a cylindrical hollowed-out rotating bolt. The return spring extended into the bolt itself and in doing could apply greater pressure to the bolt whilst retaining a relatively short length. A curved guide in the bolt's housing allowed the bolt to rotate upon retraction, opening the breech and allowing the spent cartridge to eject. The internal magazine held 5 rounds and was clip-loaded from the top.
