The RPG-32 Nashshab (Arabic: نشاب, lit. "genesis") alternatively known as the RPG-32 Hashim, is a Russian-Jordanian rocket launcher.

History[]

The RPG-32 was developed between 2005 and 2012 under the request and contract of Jordan.

Design Details[]

The RPG-32 looks similar to previous RPG designs. However, unlike previous designs, the weapon is reusable, and uses two types of launch containers affixed to the rear of the weapon. The entire package consists of a short, reusable launch unit with grips, firing controls and sight mount, detachable boresight collimator and disposable ammunition containers, which are pre-loaded at the factory and attached to the rear end of the launcher before firing.

The launch unit includes a section of tube and so the system is technically breech loaded, though this "barrel" has very little ballistic effect on the missile and is mostly just a shroud for the optic and fire controls to attach to.

In 2015 the Nash-Shab launcher was unveiled. This is a tripod-mounted, remote-operated quad launcher than can accept four RPG-32 missile tubes.

Ammunition[]

The RPG-32 uses the PG-32V rocket. This can be fitted with either the 105mm ATG-32 tandem hollow-charge warhead or the 72mm TBG-32 multi-purpose thermobaric warhead. The ATG-32 has a stated penetration capability in excess of 650 millimeters (25.6 inches) of rolled homogeneous armor, behind a layer of explosive reactive armor.
