The OTs-02 Kiparis (Cyrillic: ОЦ-02 Кипарис, meaning "cypress"), also known as the TKB-0217 Lavina, is a submachine gun designed by TsKIB SOO. It was initially designed in 1972 but only put into service 19 years later.

Design Details[]
The Kiparis is a blowback-operated submachine gun of a conventional design. The receiver is made of pressed steel with a synthetic plastic grip, and has a rudimentary steel skeletonized stock. This stock folds up and over the receiver. The Kiparis also is able to accommodate a laser pointer or red dot sight which can be clipped forward of the magazine housing.
