The Maschinenpistole IX. Parteitag (German for IX Party Conference Machine Pistol) is a machine pistol of East German origin. It was designed in 1976, but had never evolved past prototype stage. It received its initial designation, as it was intended to be presented at the ninth German Socialist Party conference of the same year. It was designed to fire the 9x18mm Makarov cartridge and had a foregrip which also served as a container for a spare magazine.
