TKB-0221 in 7.62X39 M43 and experimental 5.6 R

Like many of the other guns designed by German A. Korobov (German is Korobov's first name) the 'TKB-0221 was too early for its time (1962, 1965, and 1968 for it's 3 models designed, and all models used now modern firing systems, but futuristic for it's time). Its magazine, which used 7.62x39mm, was a modified AK-47 magazine. Because its design, its steam style and its not-so-ergonomic form (the mag WAS the grip, which is geometrically terrible because you could pull out the mag while firing), the project died, and was never used by the USSR/Soviet Union in their army.
