The HV-71, also known as the MRCS, is a modular rifle designed and manufactured by Austrian firearms company Kepplinger Custom in prototype form only.

The HV-71, on first glance, appears to be a clone of the Steyr AUG. Internally, it differs from the AUG, and can be chambered for a variety of different ammunition types from 5.56×45mm NATO to 7.62×39mm. It is designed as a multi-purpose weapon. No known work has been undertaken on the weapon project since 2000, and it is likely that the project has since been shelved.[1]
