The kbk wz. 2005 Jantar is a prototype Polish assault rifle.

The Jantar was a prototype created by Wojskowa Akademia Techniczna in 2005 to test the advantages of the bullpup configuration when compared to normal weapons; it was not intended for mass production or production of any kind. The Jantar's bullpup design proved to be a more accurate weapons layout for the burst-firing of carbines, and was meant to help FB to gain experience in the modernization of the Polish Army.

Design DetailsEdit

The weapon is based on the Kbk wz. 2002 BIN, which in turn was based on the FB Beryl; however, the Jantar is also based on the FB Tantal.
