The K-09 is an assault rifle manufactured within the Kachin State. It is widely used by the Kachin Independence Army.
Overview[]
The K-09 is a locally-manufactured copy of the Chinese Type 81 assault rifle. It is functionally identical to the Type 81 and differs mainly in its green polymer furniture. A variety of variants and modifications to the design have been produced. Several thousand K-09-pattern rifles have been made, although an exact figure is impossible to attain.

Older variant that used wooden furnishings rather than polymer ones. The K-07 has been largely phased out by newer models.
