Articles
You should know how to create articles. Now you need to know how to fill them up so they don't qualify for deletion. Just like the banning policy, it isn't that hard to break if you read this. Don't worry, you won't get banned from making short articles. They'll get deleted, and you will be warned, but you will never be banned for making a short article.

Short Article vs. a stub vs. Spam
A short article(one that is tagged with {{shortarticle}}) is one that:
- Has only a sentance or two of salvageable content.
- Does not have proper spelling.
- Does not have an image.
Short articles are purged every week.
A stub article(one that is tagged with {{stub}}, in contrast:
- Has a fair amount of information, though it can be expanded
- Has proper spelling and grammar
- Includes at least one image
Stubs are never purged. However, it would be a good idea to help expand them.
Spam is pretty easy to identify, considering it usually will have nothing to do with guns. Simply alert the admins on the Deletion list page linked to on the Community Portal if the article has not been deleted already.
Catagorize your Article!
Catagorizing your article allows others to find the article when they browse the wiki. Remember to catagorize, and your article has more of a chance of being seen and improved.
Reviewing will help
If you wish, you can insert your article into Peer Review to get an opinion of what needs to be improved upon in your article.
Wikipedia
You can copy your articles from Wikipedia, provided that:
- You don't directly copy and paste from the front of the page. Use the edit button at the top of the article and copy the code created.
- You strip any templates not carried by this wiki, and instead use the templates we use
- You properly catagorize the article
Wikia's Rule
Wikia's rules state that our articles cannot contain the advertising and promotion of firearms, and so do not create these articles or you will not only be in trouble with use you might even be in trouble with all of wikia, though I cannnot confirm this.
Choosing a title
Because model numbers can be shared by the same gun, and for consistency, please feature any modern firearm articles in the following format:
{Company Name} {Model Number}
Redirect the model number and any nicknames later.
