Handloading is the act of loading brand new firearm cartridges, assembling the individual components by hand. It is commonly used as a way for cheaper ammunition (as the components combined are generally much cheaper than factory-loaded ammunition), and as a way to load more accurate, better performing ammunition. The casings are often reused after firing.
