The VHS is a bullpup assault rifle designed and manufactured by Croatian firearms company HS-Produkt.

OverviewEdit

The VHS is a modern design that appeared during the mid-2000's. It is a polymer rifle in a bullpup configuration. The ejection port is on the right side of the weapon, which is problematic for left-handed shooters. However, the fold-out cocking handle is designed to be ambidextrous. Two variants have been produced: the regular VHS-D and the short-barreled VHS-K. The VHS-D was adopted by the Croatian Army in 2008. It resembles the French FAMAS quite strongly, but internally it is different. In 2013, a newer version of the VHS rifle was unveiled, the VHS-2.
