Policies & Help
Here on the Gun Wiki, we have a policy about plagerizing, as well as with images in certain areas, and in other miscellaneous categories. Under the line there is a list of rules related to copyrights you should follow.
- Don't use images of replica firearms in articles, unless they are articles relating to replica firearms, or if you identify that it is a replica in a regular article in caption (or if the image is for your userpage).
- Do NOT plagerize text directly from sources for articles. Nor cite other articles here on Gunpedia as sources for another article on here. Though you can use an article from Wikipedia as a source, provided you put a link to that article in the sources area in the article on here you are sourcing.
- Don't use pictures that are logos and/or advertisements specifically for other sites as official pictures here, unless the picture is for an article about the site the image was retrieved from. And for pictures such as described, give a summary of what it is on the image file page, or in the "summary" section on the Upload page, such as: "logo and/or tag from: (site name here.)".
- Don't copy text from Wikipedia directly. If you are going to use Wikipedia as a source, make sure you don't copy the text from the Wikipedia article you are sourcing with directly.
Any and all articles infringing on this after February 13, 2007 are eligible for instant deletion.
