The Sjögren rifle was a Swedish prototype self-loading rifle that was designed by Carl Sjögren.
History[]
The Sjögren rifle was developed in the early 1900s and marketed along with a companion shotgun. It was examined by the Automatic Rifle Committee in Britain in 1908 but was not considered for adoption by any country. Only a few prototypes were ever made.
Design[]
The Sjögren rifle used an inertia-operated recoil action.
