The FMK-3 is an Argentinian submachine gun that was produced by FMAP-DM.
History[]
The FMK-3 was developed in 1973 to replace the Halcón ML-63 and PAM1 in Argentinian service. It was adopted as the PA-3 (DM) (Pistola Ametralladora 3, Domingo Matheu)[1] and was produced until 1978. It saw service during the Falklands War of 1982, after which it was retracted from service.[2]
Design[]
The FMK-3 was a blowback-operated submachine gun derived from the Uzi. It utilized a wrap-around bolt and grip safety, with the magazine feed located in the pistol grip. Generally it was produced with a retractable stock but was also offered with a fixed wooden stock. The cocking slot was located on the left side of the receiver and the gun could be disassembled by unscrewing the rear end cap.[2]
