The SC-2005 is a Peruvian assault rifle manufactured Desarrollos Industriales Casanave in Peru. The gun is an attempt to replace the aging FN FAL rifles currently in service with Peru. The big difference between the FAL and this rifle is that it is mainly chambered for 5.56x45mm NATO, though some are still chambered for 7.62x51mm NATO.
The conversion kits were produced from 2005 to 2013, although they have been making parts for the kits since 1981.
The newest version is called the SC-2010, it retains its 7.62mm NATO round. It adds a Picatinny rail, telescoping stock, and a special muzzle break to accommodate the large round.
