The CS/LA2, also known as the WMS-01, is a Chinese shotgun that was produced by China Ordnance Industries (or China South Industries Group).

History[]

The CS/LA2 was developed in 2009 and first unveiled at CIEPE 2010 in Beijing. It was intended for sale to military and law enforcement organizations but saw no domestic or export sales. Marketing was handled by Norinco, but since the weapon has not been seen in recent company marketing, it can be assumed that it is no longer in production.

Xianfeng Machinery have also advertised this gun as the CS/LA3.Cite error: Invalid <ref> tag; invalid names, e.g. too many

Design[]

The CS/LA2 is a gas-operated self-loading shotgun largely copied from the Italian Benelli M4, both internally and externally. It operates on a short-stroke piston and rotating bolt with three locking lugs. The magazine feed is an 6-round tube and can be loaded with standard 12 gauge shells or various less-lethal alternatives. The ejection port and cocking lever are located on the right side of the receiver. The weapon features an adjustable four-position stock.
