Accuracy International is a specialist British firearms manufacturer, best known for producing the Accuracy International Arctic Warfare series of precision sniper rifles. It was formed in 1978 to design and build tactical rifles the were suitably not only for target shooting but also have the ruggedness that a military rifle requires. Thirty years on, their rifles are still being continuously improved and are used by highly trained military and police units in over 50 countries world-wide. Such units are exposed to 'live' tactical situations on a daily basis and in the most demanding environments where first shot accuracy is critical.

In 2005, Accuracy International unveiled their new AS-50 .50 BMG caliber semi-automatic rifle, designed specifically at the request of US Special Forces who required a new 12.7mm sniper rifle; the AS50 is accurate to 1.5MoA, extremely impressive for a semi-automatic rifle of that caliber.
