The ARES FMG is a foldable submachine gun created by Eugene Stoner in 1986. It was designed for covert and concealment operations. The gun can only be folded when used with a 20 round magazine; a 32 round magazine can be used but will prevent the gun from folding. The weapon was originally meant for defence for VIPs. The firearm could be fit with a fake antenna to look like a radio. A more modern version of this weapon is the FMG-9 which was designed in 2008 by Magpul. The original prototype used WW2 MP40 magazines which held 32 rounds. Later models used modified Uzi magazines.
